CALL TO ORDER

Chair Heather Schaubmayer called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. in the Council Chamber, 437 Old Mammoth Road, Mammoth Lakes.

POLICY MATTERS

3.1

Review and Possible Action on 2025/26 Cycle Measure U Programming Grant Applications

Chair Heather Schaubmayer introduced the item and discussed the process the Committee would go through to determine their funding recommendations.

The following multi-year applicants discussed their programs and provided additional information about their applications: Chamber Music Unbound (CMU) Executive Director Brian Schuldt and Education Director and Felici Trio Violinist Rebecca Hang, Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center (ESAC) Administrative Manager Barb Bemis, Eastern Sierra Community Chorus (ESCC) Nancy Holland, Mono Arts Council (MAC) Executive Director Kristin Reese, Sierra Classic Theatre (SCT) Artistic Director Allison Page, Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance (ESAA) Executive Board President Julianna Olinka-Jones and Executive Director Shira Dubrovner. 

The Committee went into recess at 9:57 a.m.

The Committee reconvened at 10:03 a.m.

Single Year Applicant Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol Alumni Association (MMSPAA) Representative Mike Klinefelter provided additional information about MMSPAA's programs and application.

Chair Schaubmayer announced that this was Committee Member Tamara Bankson's last meeting and thanked her for her many years of service on the Committee.

There was discussion between the applicants, Executive Director Kim Anaclerio, and members of the Board.

  Approve Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Measure U Programming Allocations for the Approved Multi-year Applications for year three of three: Chamber Music Unbound $32,000, Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance $40,000, Mono County Arts Council $35,825, Sierra Classic Theatre $10,500, and Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve $10,000, for year two of three: Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center $11,500 and Eastern Sierra Community Chorus $8,500, for new three year applicants: Friends of the Inyo $14,000 per year for years one, two, and three, and for new one year applications Girl Scouts of Northern Nevada $0 funding as they did not qualify, Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol Alumni Association $19,000, and Wind Drift Studios $0 as they did not qualify, for a total amount recommended of $181,325.
