CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

 

The Town Manager called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 437 Old Mammoth Road, Suite Z, Mammoth Lakes.

Introduction to being a legislative body, appointment of Chair and Vice Chair, set meeting dates, consider appointment of additional committee members.

Town staff and members of the Committee introduced themselves. Administrative Services/Finance Director Rob Patterson spoke about information assembled in a binder for Committee members. Town Attorney Andy Morris outlined the information in his memo about the basic rules for serving on the Committee. Town Manager Daniel C. Holler outlined the information in the staff report. There was discussion among members of the Committee and staff.

Nancy Rowe spoke in opposition to the moratorium.

Andrea Makshanoff spoke in opposition to the moratorium.

Administrative Services/Finance Director Rob Patterson, Town Manager Daniel C. Holler, and Aaron Nousaine, economic adviser, outlined the information in the staff report. There was discussion among members of the Committee and staff.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

Matthew Lehman said that he felt like the decision had already been made for what was going to happen. He said that he did not think the moratorium solved any housing issues.

John Wentworth asked the Committee to listen to the Town Council's discussion on Wednesday.

The STR Advisory Committee will adjourn to a meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

The Committee adjourned the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
