CALL TO ORDER

The Mayor called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 437 Old Mammoth Road, Suite Z, Mammoth Lakes.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Sandra Moberly led the flag salute.

3.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Stacy Corless, Mono County Board of Supervisors, announced that her District 5 seat would be on the ballot in June and that she would not be seeking re-election.

Ingrid Braun, Mono County Sheriff, announced that she would be seeking re-election this year.

ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA

There were no additions to the agenda.

REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONS AND/OR DEPARTMENTS (AS NEEDED)

Community and Economic Development Director Sandra Moberly gave an update regarding current building and planning activities. There was discussion among members of Council and staff.

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Brown, Public Works Director Haislip Hayes, Administrative Services/Finance Director Rob Patterson, and Police Chief Al Davis gave a presentation regarding the winter storms operations update. There was discussion among members of Council and staff.

PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS

6.1

Presentation regarding the Final Maps for the new Mono County supervisor districts.

Mono County CAO Bob Lawton gave a presentation outlining the Mono County Redistricting process and outcomes from that process. There was discussion among members of Council and Mr. Lawton.

CONSENT AGENDA

  Approve the Consent Agenda.

Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 15, 2021.

Approve the resolution re-authorizing the Town Council to meet virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic declared emergency.

Approve the resolution establishing the 2022 compensation schedules and benefits for limited term employees.

Accept Payment Approval Report No. 22-24 in the amount of $462,957.82. Accept Payment Approval Report No. 22-25 in the amount of $57,028.68. Accept Payment Approval Report No. 22-26 in the amount of $235,485.93.

POLICY MATTERS

8.1

Update on COVID-19 data/statistics and management, and response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Town Manager Daniel C. Holler gave a presentation regarding the pandemic update. There was discussion among members of Council and staff.

COUNCILMEMBER REPORTS

Councilmember Sauser attended the Mammoth Lakes Tourism Board meeting.

Mayor Pro Tem Wentworth attended the grand opening of the Bishop Airport.

Councilmember Stapp reported on the Mammoth Lakes Housing wait list

CLOSED SESSION

10.1

Pursuant to Government Code Section 54856.8, the Town Council will hold a conference with its representatives in regard to lease negotiations pertaining to:

At 5:38 p.m. the Mayor announced that the Council would be entering into closed session for the purposes as stated in the agenda.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF ACTION TAKEN AFTER CLOSED SESSION

The Council reconvened from closed session at 6:13 p.m. and the Town Manager announced that there was no reportable action taken.

ADJOURNMENT

The Council adjourned the meeting at 6:13 p.m.
