CALL TO ORDER

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 437 Old Mammoth Road, Suite Z, Mammoth Lakes.

Monthly Department Report

Recreation Manager Kat Kelly and Recreation Supervisor Doug Gebhart outlined the information in the staff report.  There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

Recreation Commission Meeting Schedule

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Brown outlined the information in the staff report.  There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

CONSENSUS:

The Commission agreed to resume in-person meetings.

Proposed ordinance amendments to Chapter 2.40: Town of Mammoth Lakes Recreation Commission.

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Brown outlined the information in the staff report.  There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

  Approve by motion the 2022/23 Parks and Recreation Proposed Fee Schedule Amendments.

Finalize agenda for March16, 2022 Town Council Workshop

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Brown outlined the information in the staff report.  There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

Commissioner Constable left the meeting at 3:40 p.m.

Update on the new Community Recreation Center at Mammoth Creek Park

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Brown outlined the information in the staff report.  There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS

Vice Chair Martin said that she appreciated staff for clearing the multi-use paths (MUPs).  She said that she went to the ice rink for the first time.

REQUEST FOR AGENDA ITEMS

There was discussion among members of the Commission and staff.

The April agenda will include the youth sports funding recommendations, the monthly report, and the Community Recreation Center (CRC) update.
